Van Goghs pieces of art

Hi there!

I think that the big part of us postcrossers likes art. So do I. My absolutely favourite artist is Vincent Van Gogh and thanks to you I have some postcards with his works, so here they are =)

First one I got this summer when I was at the seaside. It's a swap from Germany. Thank you, Annete!

Self-portrait, 1887

Next one is from Germany too, and it comes with a few numbers of tram tickets and it made my evening =) (http://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/DE-2433852)

Night cafe in Arles, 1888

This postcard came from Italy. Saverio and Sigita adviced to read a book of a lithuanian author "Between Shades of Grey". And I will read it =) (http://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/IT-240303)

Fritillaries in a copper vase, 1886

Next postcard is from the USA. Patricias favourite Van Goghs work is "Bedroom in Arles". Thank you for this self-portrait, Patricia! (http://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/US-2466478)

Self-portrait, 1889-90

This awesome postcard is the last in my collection and it's from Germany again. Sabine spent a lot of time in Arles and she said that the city is still beautifull. Hope I'll arrive there one day too! =) (http://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/DE-2738419)

The cafe terrace on the Place du Forum at night, Arles, 1888

So despite the fact that my collection is poor I love it, and I hope you love it too! =) I believe that it will be supplemented and some day I'll recieve my loveliest piece of art "Almond blossom". =)

Let your dreams come true and wish you've got a postcard today! =)

Starting from scratch

Greetings, guys!
So, today I have an attack of postcrossing melancholy and I want you to be infected with this virus too! =)
Frankly speaking, I didn't remember the feelings I had when I get my first postcrossing ID and address. But I remember that it was not so easy to send a card for the first time. Finding a POSTAL card (every time I asked smb in shops or anywhere as the answer I got two-sided ugly greeting cards) made me mad. Then I was really worried about the postcard: will it find it's receiver? Oh yeah, it were stressful days of waiting! But what was the joy when my poor little postcard was registered after 18 days of travelling! In such moments postcrossing teach us being happy with some simple things.

And here is the hero of the paragraph: (http://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/UA-142582)

Here you can see a piece of my city =)

Oh guys, being a dummy in postcrossing such a hard work I must say! How cool is the fact that I'm in for two years, ha-ha-ha =) Simultaneously with waiting when my postcard will be registered I, of course, was waiting for the one I'll receive. I took away my stepfather's mailbox key and was checking it several times a day until it arrived. It was sooooooo great to find that postcard, I can't even describe the emotions I had! But it was one of the greatest days in my life! =)

But it's not the end! Do you know what I mean? I'll be waiting for YOUR first postcards (sent and received). You can leave the links or images below in comment.

And don't even try to pass by this! =)

Hope you've got a postcard today!

Hello, World!

This is my pilot post, so here I want to say 'hello' to my friends poscrossers and everybody who reads this! =)
First of all I would like to thank for help to my boyfriend Nikita. I'm afraid that this blog couldn't exist without him. Thank you honey! =)

Ok, my name is Polly and I'm a postcrosser for over than two years. All the time when my mailbox was happy I was happy too and now I want to share this happiness with you! =)

And the topic of this post is 'Positive postcards': postcards, wich make me smile. Here they are:

1. Meet Papa Potato from USA! (US-1438346)

This cool guy was one of the first cards I've got and my first from States. Hope they didn't make him fries!

4. Many, many ladybugs from NL again (NL-1172298)

Try to find that one in sunglasses! =)

5. Fiends from Germany (DE-2219174)

6. Subway from Belarus (BY-846691)

'Smile more often' - the inscription sad.

So, that's all, and I want to wish you to smile more often and send positive poscards to make someone smile too! =)

Thank you for reading and best reguards!
